To the north of Córdoba, the land covered with centennial ilex, remembers the old forest. Los Pedroches begins, Pedroches that derives of "Piedra" (stone), pure granite, forming the fences that conform their territory, fences that mark roads, roads to travel in the whole geography of Los Pedroches. They highlight their fluvial ecosystems and the cynegetic wealth of Santa Eufemia's Sierra and of the Natural Park of Cardeña-Montoro, authentic ecological jewel, earth of the oak melojo (Q. pirenayca) and Reservation of the wolf and of the iberian lynx

 What will really surprise and it will like the traveler is "La Sierra" in the south region of Los Pedroches, with their extensive olive groves, cultivated by people of Los Pedroches. These are typical olive groves of mountain. Most of these olive groves are of ecological production and they get the attention for their mountain landscapes and pieces of forest mediterranean virgin, as the one found in the "Loma de BuenaVista". They are also worthy of mentioning the courses of The Cuzna and Guadalbarbo rivers  like exponents of the forest gallery.
